This manifesto is of utmost importance to the world communist movement. We call on all our readers to study it thoroughly and give it the widest possible circulation. It was approved unanimously by the International Secretariat of the IMT and will constitute the founding document of a new Revolutionary Communist International, which will be launched in June of this year.
The Revolutionary Communist International will strive to become the banner under which the awakening generation of revolutionary workers and youth can assemble to overthrow capitalism. You can be personally involved in its founding, as the whole conference will be streamed online so you can watch at home, or with other comrades in one of many watch parties planned in countries around the globe.

The Revolutionary Communist Podcast has landed!
A growing number of workers, particularly younger workers, seek out audio and video more than written articles. Today more than one-in-four Canadians listen to podcasts weekly⸺that’s a potential audience of over 10 million people! And so, in addition to publishing communist theory and analysis through our newspaper, booklets and website, we are launching the Revolutionary Communist Podcast to give the comrades another tool in their toolkit for building the Revolutionary Communist Party!
We will regularly publish public presentations by communists in Canada and around the world on the foundations and history of marxist theory, as well as interviews with revolutionaries on the key questions related to building the forces of communism in practice.
Now more than ever it is crucial for us to study the lessons of past revolutions and past revolutionaries, to arm ourselves with the ideas that we need to win over our colleagues, our friends, and the rest of our class to the ideas of genuine communism.

The State and Revolution
At some stage or another, every mass struggle necessarily comes up against the obstacle of the state - the police, the army, the courts - institutions which, we are told, exist to maintain "law and order" in society. The approach that the movement takes towards the state is therefore of vital importance; in fact, it is often what determines the victory or the defeat of whole revolutionary struggles. This is why the ruling classes have always shrouded their bodies of armed force in whatever mystical, religious, or democratic garbs they can. This week, we have a presentation by Ylva Vinberg, a founding member of the Revolutionary Communist Party in Sweden, on the marxist understanding of the state and our approach to state power in revolutionary struggles.
This week on Communist Revolution
The NDP motion on Palestine is empty political theatre
The NDP’s non-binding motion against arms sales to Israel is the latest hollow gesture in Canadian political theatre. Some are celebrating the motion’s passing in Parliament as a victory for the Palestinian movement, but in reality, it doesn’t change a thing. It’s a cynical move to give the false appearance that the government is working to end the genocide.
Haiti: Prime Minister Henry resigns as regime collapses
A gang-led coup in Haiti has led to the resignation of Prime Minister Ariel Henry. US imperialism is scrambling to regain control of the situation and has organised negotiations to create a transitional council to take power. But with the Haitian state in utter disarray, the gangs are moving to solidify their control of the capital Port-au-Prince.
Communists rally to bring down Genocide Justin
This week, the Revolutionary Communist Party took the initiative to organize rallies across the country—raising the banner of revolution. After 158 days that reaped over 31,272 lives with thousands more left under the rubble in Gaza, all facilitated by Canadian arms, working class Canadians everywhere are more sure of the bankruptcy of the Liberal government than ever before.

Richest man in Edmonton sues homeless services providers
The powerful Katz Group is suing Boyle Street Community Services due to a supposed “breach of contract”. The Katz Group is chaired by its billionaire founder, Daryl Katz, the richest (and almost certainly worst) man in Edmonton and owner of the Edmonton Oilers. Boyle Street is the largest provider of services to homeless people in Edmonton.
Public transit ‘death spiral’?
Public transit isn’t in a “death spiral.” On the contrary. Many regions and cities are experiencing an increase in transit use. This is due to the price of fuel, maintenance, and insurance that are required to own a car. Meanwhile, riders are being met with service cuts, empty promises, and elected leaders playing politics with transit funding.
Arm yourself with theory!
With the crisis of capitalism and the horrors it brings getting worse every day, more and more people are turning towards revolution. They are burning with the need to do something. Communists agree with this sentiment. The question becomes then, what is it that we need to do? What are the ideas and tactics that will actually succeed in overthrowing this rotten system once and for all? Mutual aid is raised by many as one possibility.
In this pamphlet, a new article, "A Communist Critique of Mutual Aid" and an FAQ, "Marxism, Bolshevism, and Mutual Aid" thoroughly present the Communist position on Mutual Aid, and make the case for Bolshevism
The tremendous crisis of capitalism is bringing to the surface all of its old contradictions. Instability, polarization and huge political shifts are on the order of the day. As part of this process, unsolved national questions are erupting once more around the globe. To navigate this question, the writings of Lenin are a great help.
The October Revolution liberated the nationalities that had been oppressed by Tsarist Russia, which Lenin called a "prison of the nations." It was the programme of the Bolsheviks, which included the right of nations to self-determination, that allowed the victory of the October Revolution, and later the birth of the Soviet Union, which in Lenin's time was a free association of nationalities, liberated from the yoke of the Tsars.
This booklet includes Lenin's "The Right of Nations to Self-Determination," written on the threshold of the imperialist war of 1914, as well as the "Theses on the national
and colonial question" passed by the Second Congress of the Communist International.
